Sleepy Stars

Follow a small star and notice three parts of the body.

Suggested ages 3–790–120 seconds

Grown-up note

Treat this as noticing practice, not a promise that your child will feel sleepy.

Try this during an ordinary, fairly settled moment. Participation is always optional.

Setup Instructions

  • Sit, stand, or lie somewhere comfortable together.
  • A star will visit toes, hands, and shoulders.
  • The parent describes their own experience first, then leaves room for the child.
  • The child can answer, point, wiggle, or simply listen.

Equipment

  • None

Safety Note

Eyes may stay open and stillness is not required. Let every body part rest in a comfortable position.
